Bath Guitar Festival, which takes place in the city from July 19 – 25, presents the unique diversity of the guitar with internationally renowned artists alongside the Young Artist Platform.

Bath Guitar Festival has a long tradition of bringing the world’s most distinguished guitar players to the cultural hub of Bath to perform. The programme this year features internationally famous performers such as Mike + The Mechanics (with Mike Rutherford – Genesis), critically acclaimed guitarist and songwriter Richard Thompson, a double-bill of Tom Kerstens’ G Plus Ensemble and Badi Assad, Grammy Award winning classical guitarist David Russell, renowned lutenist Nigel North, with support from singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, acoustic guitarist Clive Carroll with support from David Mead, Tristan Seume and Ben Powell, the Fingerstyle Collective, classical guitarists Andrea Vettoretti and Amanda Cook, and the young guitarists Maria Camahort, Daniela Rossi and Johan Löfving are featured in the Young Artist Platform.

The guitar is the most popular instrument in the world and is celebrated in its mesmerising variety at this festival: from living folk traditions to thrilling notated compositions: from acoustic historical instruments to the cigar-box guitar. This Bath Guitar Festival seeks to promote the range of guitar culture for everyone.
