Following the success of the kiss and Weezer cruises and more recently, the Green Man boat party (read our review here), it seems more people are getting in on the act with the announcement of a new luxury music festival on the high seas to take place in the Mediterranean in September 2013.

Setting sail from Venice on 21 September, 2013, 2,500 guests can expect a week long, sun-soaked party, on a luxury ship, with 18 of the best guitar bands playing across five intimate venues, world-class DJs on state of the art sound systems under the stars and top billing comedians. No mud, no wellies, no tents, no queues, no portaloos, no miserable UK weather – only premium hotel-style accommodation, exceptional customer service and VIP treatment and outstanding entertainment in a unique and intimate setting.

Onboard The Norwegian Jade there really is something for everyone and more on offer than any major or boutique festival – an art gallery, a champagne bar, a casino, a spa, 16 dining options, there’s even a gym, running circuit and basketball court for festival goers that want to keep up their fitness programme onboard! Packages include VIP offerings unmatched by any other festival – private balconies, swimming pools and even luxurious suites with butler service. With one crew member for every two guests, Offshore promises an unrivalled festival experience of comfort and relaxation.

A spokesman for the event said: “Those heading Offshore in 2013 will get to see artists who can headline shows for tens of thousands of fans up close and personal in a variety of venues with artists hanging out onboard before and after their performances to host exclusive VIP parties and activities for guests. Not to mention the shore excursions where ticket-holders may find themselves roaming the streets of Dubrovnik, whitewashed Athens, ancient Ephesus or Split alongside a band member or ten.”

Ticket registration is now open, with the first batch of tickets on sale from 27 July 2012 (exclusive priority booking pre-sale available from 20 July for those who register between 12 to 19 July).
