Devon has had their fair share of music artists over the past decade with the success of Coldplay, Joss Stone and Muse, so it’s hard to argue that Exeter based band ‘I Divide’ are not on the cusp of breaking the UK and international market with their new breed of energetic anthemic pop infused rock.

They recently returned from tearing across stages on an extensive UK tour supporting ‘Fei Comodo’, hitting top 02 Academy’s from Glasgow to London, Newcastle to Leeds. ‘I Divide’ are tipped as one of the hottest breakthrough artists from the South West this year, with their fast paced, raw energetic performances that have been leaving crowds gasping for air and begging for more. Demonstrating nothing less than catchy sing-a-long hooks and epic crowd-pleasing anthems.

The successful launch of their album ‘What’s Worth More’ spawned a series of creative music videos like ‘Burning Out’, ‘The Arrival’ and ‘This Ships Going Down’, enjoyed by over 100,000 You Tube viewers; 2012 has seen them go through to the top 8 bands in the country from over 1,250 entered into the respected ‘Battle of the Bands’ Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition. This has given them the chance to play the biggest rock festivals across the UK including Download, Slam Dunk and Hevy Fest, headlined by bands such as the Prodigy, Metallica and Ozzy’s Black Sabbath, where they rocked the crowds, playing massive, crowded shows on the Red Bull Stages.

‘I Divide’ have now received the exciting news that they have made the final 3 in the Bedroom Jam competition, which has given them the opportunity to produce a music video for their song ‘Never Be Stopped’, filmed by the Red Bull team in and around South Devon last week. This video will be online in the forth-coming weeks, so keep checking for it. The band are now preparing for their final performance at the Red Bull Studios in London on Monday 17 September at 5pm to be voted by online viewers who will choose this year’s ultimate winner. The top group will get to record a new album at the Red Bull Studios and tour the UK with a huge headlining band.

The band’s guitarist ‘Josh Wreford’ says that ‘this has been an amazing year and the opportunity to rub shoulders back stage with many of our music heroes during the summer festivals has been a real highlight. Now we have the chance to win the Red Bull challenge, which could be a real springboard to national success.’
