ACTS SOUGHT FOR MUSIC TRURO FESTIVAL 2012
Monday, October 15 sees the start of this years’ Music Truro Festival, which will feature a cornucopia of musical delights across the city at a variety of unexpected locations.
This year the festival will be continuing in the tradition of celebrating both Truro’s community spirit and varied musical landscape, pushing the boundaries even further. The festival is being organised by Truro-based company Event Cornwall and Totally Truro, the Business Improvement District (BID), and they want you to get involved.
Neil Scott, BID Manager for Totally Truro is leading the search “We are looking for musicians of all ages and abilities to take part in two very exciting and ground breaking musical events to take place on the Saturday 20th October in the centre of Truro. We want this festival to be inclusive to everyone, no matter of ability or experience. I can’t give too much away at this stage, but lets just say it’s not going to be X-Factor. Music Truro is about coming together, collaborating and celebrating, not competing for 15 minutes of fame.”
So if you have an old violin that you haven’t played for a few years, or are a closet guitarist register with the team to save your place for what will be the musical event of the calendar. For more information, or to get involved and be a part of it, then please email becky@eventcornwall.co.uk.
Further information will be posted on the website soon www.enjoytruro.co.uk
