STEREOPHONICS TO PLAY NEWPORT CENTRE THIS CHRISTMAS
One of Wales’ most successful bands are returning home to kickstart a small UK tour this Christmas.
The group, famed for hits such as ‘A Thousand Trees’, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ and ‘Dakota’, have been on a bit of a hiatus but are returning to the stage for five shows. Rather than playing the big arenas and stadiums they have done so in the past, they’ve deliberately picked more intimate venues – ending at London’s Troxy on December 20, 2012.
They play the Newport Centre on Saturday December 15. Support comes from former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, who’s solo shows have been receiving rave reviews. The band has spent much of this year working on a new album, due for release next Spring.
