WIN: TICKETS TO ROCK OYSTER FESTIVAL
A mid summer celebration of food, music and art in North Cornwall mixes great food with eclectic music and a host of children’s entertainment over the solstice weekend. Held on the banks of the Camel Estuary in Rock, North Cornwall, the festival takes place from Friday 21 – Sunday 23 June, music comes from gypsy pirate punk band Seas of Mirth, Smerins Anti-Social Club and 14 piece Slamboree, whose music is described as a mixture of pyro circus cabaret. Sunday has more of a folky sound with acts such as Half Sisters and Martha Tilston. For foodie fans, food writer and The Times columnist Joanna Weinberg will join chef Paul Ainsworth from Michelin-starred Number 6 in Padstow, Tom Hunter from The Scarlet Hotel and Rick Stein’s son Jack, in the Flying Fish Demonstration Theatre. Other local chefs on stage are The Seafood Restaurant’s David Sharland and Stephane Delourme; James Nathan (Masterchef 2008 winner) from The Green Room at Retallack; Ian Percival from the St Moritz Hotel and Jamie Porter from Rafferty’s in St Merryn. One of the few summer festivals that mixes genuinely good food and music together, for more info and tickets from www.rockoysterfestival.co.uk
