LEOPALLOOZA ANNOUNCE INITIAL LINE-UP
Leopallooza, one of The Guardian’s ‘Best Boutique Festivals’ for two years running, and winner of the ‘South West Festival of 2012’- Cornish Guardian / Clean Slate Music (readers & critics poll) returns on the 1st -3rd of August 2014. This hand-crafted, independent festival show cases some of the best new music in the UK, all from a lush Cornish valley near the sea. Last years headliner, Bastille said “This place is nuts.” and Everything Everything said it’s the “most fun we’ve had at a festival all summer”. Following their mission to put on the greatest house party… in a field, this years headliners include French Soler with their hybrid of summery indie, big dance-inflected melodies, instantaneous hooks with pounding bass lines – the house party soundtrack is in their genes. Alongside them, Grammy award-winning Louisa Rose Allen (aka Foxes) brings her hi-energy, synth-pop sound to the main stage, westcountry band Brother & Bones make their only Cornish festival appearance here and Bristol band, The Other Tribe – If you see one new band this year, make sure it’s these guys, we dare you not to dance.
Four friends created and run Leopallooza with the help of some very selfless friends, and they’ve remained adamantly independent from the outset in 2006. It started as a party in a field and, almost 5000 people later, it remains so! It’s organic, stressful, but the real deal – see for yourself at leopallooza.com
