After being welcomed back to the home of some of it’s best ever weekenders last year, Bloc makes one final outing to Butlins in Minehead on 11-13 March. Having brought some of the most innovative musicians and DJs to the UK, pushing the boundaries of electronic music over the past ten years, this year headliners Thom Yorke and Four Tet are joined by techno pioneers Jeff Mills and Carl Craig, Barghain regulars Ben Klock and Ben UFO, enigmatic producer Evian Christ.
Whilst lesser festivals would supplement the headliners with unknown artists, Bloc refuses to follow this trend. They’ve added the likes of Jimmy Edgar, Surgeon, Move D, Andrew Wetherall, Blawan, Nina Kraviz, Omar S, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Rødhåd, Optimo, Bicep, Daniel Avery and Midland to name but a few over the three days – you know they mean business all round.
Bloc has a solid reputation as an event which guarantees quality music, and it isn’t a secret anymore, below is what Resident Advisor thought of last years event.
