PORTHLEVEN FOOD FESTIVAL 2017
It won’t be long until April arrives on our doorsteps and the 2017 summer festival season kicks into action again. First on the list is the Porthleven Food Festival which will take place from 21st to 23rd April 2017
From the Friday night through until Sunday, this Cornish port town will be awash with celebrations as the festival takes place. This year’s theme is Under The Sea and everyone is encouraged to join in with the theme by decorating the town and themselves. There will be lots of competitions and activities taking place, so keep an eye out on the website for more information.
Top national chefs will be giving cooking demos across the weekend and along with the bake off and hundreds of food stalls the town will be flowing with food yummy food. This year the Sunday Chef’s theatre will be focusing on chocolatier’s and artisan cooking.
There will also be a Literature Festival Tent, lots of children’s activities with the return of Festival Fringe and a grand fireworks finale.
Following last years success, the Lime Kiln stage will be back for 2017. There will be music throughout each day and live bands performing at night time, with full line-ups will be announced later this month. Most of the festival is free but tickets for the main events taking place on the Friday and Saturday evening Will be on sale soon.
