247 MAGAZINE SUPPORTS THE PLYMOUTH UNDERAGE MUSIC FESTIVAL
We’re proud to announce that 247 Magazine are supporting a major, ground-breaking underage music event as the finale to this year’s Big Arts Festival. On Saturday 11 July the ‘Plymouth Underage’ young people’s music Festival will take place at the National Trust’s Saltram House, aimed exclusively at Plymouth’s 13 – 19 year olds and with young people taking a leading role in promoting and organising this unique, free event.
Plymouth Underage Festival will feature live acts from 2pm – 9pm on two weatherproof stages, with local young bands, singers and rappers performing on the same bill as professional acts. Many other attractions and ‘exciting stuff to do’ will be available on the site, which will be situated in the field immediately in front of Saltram House.
We will be operating a secure site with admission by (free) ticket only, available solely through local youth centres, Plymouth Music Collective, Connections and The Zone on Union St from 1 June. Transport to and from the event will be provided from pick up points across the city and as well as youth workers, a specialist security team and trained marshals will ensure young people’s safety.
Bands playing include:
Cosmo Jarvis
The Avalon
Kat Marsh
Hillside Heroes
Kosa
The Orkid
Scribes
Music: rock, soul, acoustic, punk, hip hop, pop, dance DJ’s, sports activities, Open Mic, fairground rides etc. The Festival is being event managed by Plymouth Music Collective and is supported and co-organised by a partnership of organisations, including Barefoot, Plymouth City Council Youth Service, The National Trust, Plymouth Music Zone, Plymouth Young Promoters and many more.
