BUZZCOCKS SET TO ROCK HIPPO
British punk legends, Buzzcocks play Plymouth Hippo this month on Friday 14 August. Formed in 1976, Buzzcocks are known for writing energetic and melodic songs with bittersweet lyrics and spine tingling guitars. They have made a huge impact on generations of bands, as well as inspiring and revolutionising the concept of the independent record label. At this show they will be playing their first two albums, Another Music in a Different Kitchen and Love Bites in their entirety, the second of which includes their classic Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve?) Unlike some of their peers doing the circuit these days, the band’s line-up includes the essential members: Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle (both on vocals & guitar).
Support on the night comes from Plymouth’s own punk heroes, Bus Station Loonies. Tickets: £15, doors: 8pm.
