DONT MISS THE ROCK ‘N’ HULA BURLESQUE AND BOOGIE AT HAVANA, EXETER
Kinky & Quirky’s Rock’n’Hula Burlesque and Boogie is turning up the heat for a tropical flavoured feast of performers on 29 August. Exeter’s grooviest night out invites retro and burlesque lovin’ folk to hula, limbo and shimmy along with a line up of fabulous performers from the national burlesque scene. This extremely popular night is now attracting quite a following and August should see yet another fun filled night.
With summer nearly over Kinky & Quirky are once again dedicating the entire night to top class burlesque artistes and rockin’ tunes and are welcoming some more new artistes to Devon, including one of the hottest newcomers to the South’s burlesque scene, Miss Roxy Twirls. This sassy red head with hourglass curves delivers cheesecake with extra va va voom at her own night Roxy’s Rendezvous in Southampton as well as being very popular all over the country – not bad for a gal who only moved from pin-up modeling to performing last November.
Miss Pretty S’Vere began her performing career aged three dressed as a chicken. Now, having trained and danced all over the world, she is a professional performer and teacher with a huge repertoire of routines and more stage appearances than she can shake her tail feathers at. And one of K & Q’s big favourites – their very own ‘queen of the night’ Miss Venus Noir – finishes off your summer of burlesque fun with a bang! She will be performing her amazing ‘Birth Of Venus’ signature act as well as a brand new routine which should have grown men and women whooping and hollering!
And with DJ Breeze playing the hottest tunes, blues, mambo, rock ‘n’ roll, retro sleaze and cool cheese, the joint will be jumping. A menu will be available to view beforehand so that guests can enjoy dinner or a snack and choose at the time of booking. The event is strictly over 18s only and tickets can only bought in advance for £5.00 by emailing quirky@kinkyandquirky.com. The doors open at 8pm with the proceedings starting after 8.30pm – this is a really popular night; an eclectic and glamorous addition to the Exeter scene.
