WIN: TICKETS TO SWN FESTIVAL 2012 IN CARDIFF
It’s just over a week until Cardiff’s best citywide music festival – Swn – kicks off and we’ve teamed up with the organisers to give away two tickets to the event.
Swn Festival, which is in its sixth year, starts on Thursday October 18, finishing on Sunday October 21, 2012. With over 220 bands performing, the festival showcase of some of the best music from Wales and beyond as well as DJs, film and art. The event was founded by Radio1 DJ Huw Stephens and local promoter John Rostron.
Artists performing this year include Cardiff’s very own Charlotte Church, The Cribs (who played at the very first Swn in 2006), Welsh rock heroes The Blackout, John Grant, Django Django, Bright Light Bright Light, Errors. Gallows, Paper Aeroplanes, Gulp, Pulled apart by Horses, Scritti Politti, Sweet Baboo and many many more.
Sŵn Festival 2012 will be hosted across various venues in and around the centre of Cardiff, including – Cardiff Students’ Union’s CF10, Bacchus (formerly Cardiff Arts Institute), Castle Arms (Angel Hotel), 10 Feet Tall, Buffalo, Chapter Arts Centre, Clwb Ifor Bach, Dempseys, GLAM, Globe, Gwdihw, National Museum Cardiff, O’Neills (Trinity Street), O’Neills (St Mary Street), Cardiff University Students’ Union, The Full Moon (wristband exchange), The Gate, The Moon Club & Undertone.
Sŵn Festival 2012 will also be working with the following co-hosts: Best of Bristol, Catapult, DIY, In Chapters, Peski, Adam Walton (Crackling Vinyl), Artrocker, Dizzyjam, Everybody’s Stalking, Gathered In Song, Lesson Number 1, Cardiff University’s Live Music Society, Moshi Moshi, New Sound Wales, NME Radar, Nyth, Pink Mist, Propaganda, PUSH + RUN, Rockfeedback, Simply Rad, The Line Of Best Fit, Trail Of Press, We Are Cardiff, plus more to be announced.
