ACOUSTICA FESTIVAL AT EXETER PHOENIX

acoustica_festivalA new annual festival that showcases the best alt-folk, folktronica and Americana kicks off at Exeter Phoenix this month with over 40 artists and bands performing from 18 – 20 September.  Building on shows at the Exeter Phoenix from bands including Noah and the Whale, King Creosote, The Acorn, Woodpigeon and Malcolm Middleton, as well as a regular weekly acoustic showcase and numerous nights from local labels/promoters including Birds, Orphans and Fools and Boothill Records, the festival celebrates the best in acoustic music.  The evenings kick off at 7pm, with daytime sessions from 12pm on Saturday and Sunday, featuring scores of South West based artists.  More details are available on the website: acousticafestival.co.uk.  Tickets are £12 (£10 concession) for each day or £28 (£25) for the whole weekend.
