Phonic FM 2nd Birthday Bash
Exeter’s community radio station, Phonic FM, celebrates it’s second birthday on Saturday 20 Feb with a big party at the Exeter Phoenix. Doors 8.30pm, tickets from £5 from usual outlets in Exeter. This event also doubles as the birthday of one of the station’s leading activists Edgar Coate of Jah-Fu-Re, St David’s Hillbillies and North Bridge Inn fame, so there is really no excuse not to attend! Phonic FM was born out of the Vibraphonic Festival and follows a playlist free policy, playing a huge range of music not usually found on commercial radio. However, as the station is advert free, this birthday bash serves as a valuable fund raiser for the station, so the listener support is vital to helping the station stay on air. If you’re in the Exeter area, listen on 106.8FM, or listen online at www.phonic.fm
