If you’ve been weighing up your options this summer – a festival or a beach holiday – we may just have the answer.
Stop Making Sense, which takes place on 3 -5 September, brings London, Glasgow and Paris’ hottest club and concert promoters to a paradise location. More than a music festival, SMS is situated on a woody peninsula in the village of Petrçane on the stunning Adriatic coast of Croatia. This is a holiday/festival combo in a beautiful spot with great value family-run restaurants, villas by the beach, and many small hotels & campsites. With beach and boat parties galore – revellers can do as much or a little as they please.
The 2,000 capacity SMS is set to combine the perfect site, weather and atmosphere with a broad soundtrack ranging from techno to Latin and African beats via jazz, soul, funk, house & disco for a unique and unforgettable experience.
Taking to the live music stage are Django Django, who have previously supported the Levellers on tour, Son of Dave annd Nathan Fake as well as Latin Dub Soundsystem, Joana and the Wolf and Loose Fit.
DJ’S appearing at the festival include Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Theo Parrish and Friendly Fires along with Radioclit, Optimo, Kyle Hall and Giles Smith.
Promoters on board include Need2Soul, Deviation, Optimo, SecretSundaze, Favela Chic, Fantasy Island and Girlcore.
The festival will also host the unforgettable SWAP-A-RAMA Razamattaz to round off the festival. Basically, everytime the Klaxons sound each reveller must swap an item of clothing with someone next to them. Attendees are advised to wear clothes they don’t mind never seeing again. God knows what they will be going home in! Expect ridiculous clothes, dancing on the bar to an unpredictable mix of Rock & Roll, RnB, Sixties Shakers, Ska, Boogaloo, Danchall and Party Classics, confusion, elation, grown men fighting over frocks, sweating and a massive hangover.
