Cider has to be the drink of the moment. As the secret spreads beyond the Westcountry, cider makers are coming up with more exotic flavours to entice new folk to the cider revolution.
But once again, this region is leading the way with a Bath Summer Cider Festival featuring more than 80 different ciders and perrys (which, believe it or not, are so versatile they can be made into pear cider, Lambrini or Babycham). Local cider makers Thatchersm Bristol Port and Black Dragon will all be represented.

The festival, which takes place in Bath Pavilion on 23 and 24 July, will feature live music form Wurzels tribute the Mangledwurzels and food in the form of hot pork rolls with stuffing and apple sauce. Tickets £7.50.
