247 NOV – SOUTH WEST
We’ve gone moustache crazy this month in support of the Movember campaign to raise awareness (and hard cash) for prostate cancer. Men across the region will be sporting Mos this month and we got in on the act by dotting tashes around the mag and bagging some fab tash prizes for one lucky reader who can correctly tell us how many Mos we’ve hidden in the mag. But that’s not the only free stuff we’re giving away this month. We’ve got a pair of ladies Duffs and a pair of men’s to give away as part of our trainer themed Retail Therapy page and tickets to Breakin Convention in Truro. Our cover star is traditional tattooist Martin Poole who relies on chopsticks and ink to do his dot based designs. We’ve got interviews with Paloma Faith, Angus and Julia Stone and Levellers frontman Mark Chadwick, who are all playing gigs in Devon or Cornwall this Winter and a preview of Exeter drum’n’bass night, Rinseout. Finally, we’ve got almost 25 music reviews and all your regular culture, film, live and club listings – giving you your essential guide to the month ahead!
