BELIEVE THE HYPE – PURE NIGHTCLUB IN NEWQUAY CLOSES

It made a big splash when it launched in Newquay, Cornwall back in 2009 on the site of the former Tall Trees, promising a real superclub experience, but Pure Nightclub has finally bitten the dust.

An announcement on it’s website said:
PURE prides itself in delivering excellent customer service and a memorable experience on a good night out with its state of the art Superclubs around the UK. Such high spec operations come at a price and in the current marketplace it can be difficult to make venues financially viable when offering such a high end experience without compromisng the product. With this in mind and with no desire to compromise the product, PURE has taken the decision to close PURE NEWQUAY with immediate effect.

PURE invested heavily in Newquay and has made some great friends and contacts along the way. PURE would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their help and support whilst operating in Newquay. Particular thanks to the teams of local builders that helped develop the venue in 2009, the numerous staff and management that have worked tirelessly to make PURE such a team effort and a great customer experience, Coast2Coast Security who provided a professional and welcoming security team, the other local Venue Operators that worked together through NALP for a better Newquay experience, the Local Authority and the Police.

We are sorry to leave Newquay and we look forward to welcoming you to other PURE venues in the UK.”

We know from our own experiences that Pure Newquay has been struggling since it opened in 2009, leaving many suppliers out of pocket last year when they couldn’t pay their bills, and it seems things haven’t changed this year. As far as we are aware, their clubs in Torquay and Manchester are currently unaffected.

This is what the former club in Newquay used to look like.
