WIN MOVEMBER GOODIES
Gents across the region are dedicating their upper lips for a month of moustache growth this Movember. Mo Bros (with help from their female supporters Mo Sistas) will be growing a ‘Mo’ (Australian slang for a moustache) throughout the month formerly known as November, to raise money for prostate cancer. Last year more than 45,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas took part across the country raising £5million. Supporters this year include Bristol University and UWE, Cardiff and UWIC, Bristol Rugby Club and the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey team. Bespoke Male Grooming Company in Bristol is offering Mo Bros half price VitaMan grooming sessions throughout the month and The Windsor Barbers in Cardiff, free grooming sessions in return for a small donation. Both establishments will shave the facial fuzz off for free at the end of the month.
John Neate, Chief Executive of The Prostate Cancer Charity says: “This year we are hoping that Movember will be even bigger and we are urging all men out there, whether they prefer the look of Hulk Hogan, take Tom Selleck as their inspiration or go completely freestyle, to join with us and help the Charity improve the lives of the 250,000 men living with the disease in the UK. Behind the fun, there is also a serious message. 36,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK every year. We need to ensure that all men avail themselves of the facts, stay aware and empower themselves to take care of their health.”
We got involved in the Movember action too and littered the Movember magazines (both South West and West and Wales) with moustaches. Tashes on pictures of us, little cartoon tashes and tashes on products.
