PRE PRESS OPERATOR (PRINT REPROGRAPHICS)

Out of Hand Ltd is a well established, vibrant, publishing house, and fast paced print and design agency providing innovative marketing solutions for a wide range of clients. We have internal digital production and a secondary business with lithographic print machinery based in South Wales.
The Vacancy
We are looking for a capable and conscientious Pre Press Operator (Print Reprographics) to join the Out of Hand team at our Bristol Head Office. Working under our Production Manager daily responsibilities would be to undertake all preparation of customer supplied files, ensuring accurate print ready file supply for internal and external production. This includes flight checking, making amendments, proofing, outputting impositions and remote plate making. Other tasks include archiving, updating our Management information system, highlighting VAT liability, together with rebuilding of files and some layout / template based design work.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a highly confident Mac Operator who will hit the ground running. They would be proficient in Adobe CS5, and preferably have experience of Trueflow and Flat Worker or similar PDF workflow software. They will possess the ability to work under pressure to constant daily deadlines and have strong communication skills as written and telephone liaison with clients is a high content of the job. It is vital to be highly organised and have the relevant digital / litho background to become one of our in house “Print Experts”.
Remuneration
£18,000 – £24,000 per annum (subject to experience). This is a full time position, office hours are 9.30 to 6pm Monday to Friday.
