WIN TICKETS TO SEE FRANK TURNER AT STRUMMERVILLE SPRING SESSIONS IN LONDON
Following on from it’s UK tour, Strummerville is launching a one day festival in London – Strummerville Spring Sessions. The first event of the year takes place in Hearn Street car park, near Shoreditch, on April 21 (Good Friday) from 8pm until 6am and is headlined by angsty folk dude Frank Turner. It will be the Winchester singer/songwriter’s 1,000th ever gig. Joining Frank Turner will be a host of up and coming bands, including The Barker Band, Benjamin Folke Thomas, The Great Whale, La Rebla Fam, Shooting Star Poets, The Vagabonds, Bastille, Dark Moon, The Joker And The Thief, The Lights and The Welcome Committee (not the Bristol one). The live music is followed by a couple of DJ sets courtesy of The Maccabees and One Love Soundsystem. Strummerville, The Joe Strummer New Music Foundation, is a registered charity that gives support and hope to aspiring musicians and help to projects that help to change the world through music. “These bi-annual showcases are always real highlights for us and its exciting presenting some of the broad spectrum of the talent we have been helping. Having Frank give us this support is really special for everyone involved, its artists like Frank that make us all keep believing.” said a spokesman for Strummerville.
